Setup & Preflight
Our Design team will check out any materials you send. If we are missing anything or if we find any issues with your digital files, a member of our staff will contact you.
Scanning & File Prep
Our high-end digital scanner can take care of capturing any images as file-ready art. If you supply digital files, our design staff will open all files and prepare them for our printing purposes (i.e. cropping, re-sizing, and color retouch or color conversion. Please see our Additional Services section if you need anything beyond this.
Typesetting & Proofreading
Should you choose to send hard copies or an electronic text file, we will typeset, spellcheck and proofread. All projects requiring this service require a sign off before printing.
Graphic Design & Layout
Our designers review all client supplied materials before beginning any design. Any areas in question are clarified. We may use images from our stock library, or textures and effects to enhance a design. Our designers will create one complete solution to best suit your needs. Our management staff will work with the designer to review and provide necessary feedback before submitting to a client.
Sending Hard Copy Proofs
It is our policy to supply a proof before production. Our flat fee for this service is $25 which includes overnight shipping of your digital proof. While your final print may vary slightly from the initial proof, our proofers are calibrated to simulate colors on press. Rest-assured that your final print will meet our high standards.
Client Alterations
Should you have any changes or tweaks, just type out your changes and Email Us (with your job number in the subject field) and send it to us. Most revised proofs will be emailed to you within 24 hours (a hi-res PDF link will be supplied if necessary). Another hard copy proof may be sent if color correction with is involved. (75% of our clients approve designs within two rounds of proofs).
Approval
Please review all proofs carefully. To approve, please Email Us (with your job number in the subject field), and we will get started on your project.
Prevent Preflight Problems
Request our design checklist to make sure you send what we need to get started on your design.
Avoid delays by sending all your materials together.
Send .DOC and .RTF text files, or emailed text. We cannot accept text in .WPS format.
Make sure all names are spelled correctly and consistently.
Send only high resolution TIFF, JPEG, .PSD, .EPS, or .AI images. We cannot extract images from Word, PowerPoint, MS Paint, Corel Draw, or other proprietary formats.
Supply only the photos you may want us to use, and mark them for specific placement if necessary.
Low resolution web images are unusable for print.

Image Tips
Be sure images are high resolution: 300 PPI for grayscale or CMYK images, 1200 PPI or more for line art.
Graphics and photos taken from the Internet (PNGs, GIFs or JPEGs) are unusable in print due to poor resolution.
Sizing down an image improves print quality but sizing up an image reduces print quality.
We work with all graphic elements in the CMYK color mode. Any RGB images must be converted to CMYK for print, but please note that color shifts may occur.
